Processing of genome data for generation of SVG illustrationsThe ChromeWheel is a processing method for generating interactive illustrations of genome data. It has been developed and implemented at the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics, part of Karolinska Institutet. The illustrations generated by ChromoWheel are of the SVG format, one of the web standards of W3C. With the process chromosomes, genes and relations between these genes is displayed. The chromosomes are placed
in a circle to avoid lines representing relations crossing genes and chromosomes.
The ChromoWheel processing of genome data is available with the Online generator. To evaluate the picture generated with ChromoWheel, the research results of Jennifer Lee is available to be displayed throw "the eyes" of ChromoWheel with a Pathway browser. |
